Advancing Research Culture (ARC) Project Submission Form

The ARC initiative supports faculty in integrating first-year undergraduates into their research projects. For information about ARC program benefits, expectations and logistics, please visit the ARC Faculty FAQ page. Faculty projects will be accepted through Monday, October 5.

Please feel free to contact the Office of Undergraduate Research at undergradresearch@wustl.edu with any remaining questions.

What is your project's central research question, hypothesis or creative objective? (one sentence)
Provide a brief (paragraph) overview of the research project, using non-specialized language to help first-years recognize the underlying motivation or rationale.
What will the student do as part of the project?
Would you be open to taking on two mentees for this project?
What can the student expect to gain from engaging in this project?
List up to three attributes that would indicate that a student is good fit for the project and has the potential to grow through participating.
Indicate the estimated hours per week the student would engage in the project (min. = 3, max. = 10). Flexibility is welcome, but specificity helps students understand the commitment and credit load.
Note any constraints on when or where the student could work on the project (e.g., specific days or hours, the need for in-person work, etc.).
