The Midstates Consortium for Math and Science is now accepting applications for its upcoming Physical Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium, which will be held at WashU on November 6 and 7, 2026. 

The symposium features high quality undergraduate research presentations selected via a competitive application process. The symposium typically has around 120-130 attendees, the majority of whom are undergraduate researchers, with the rest being faculty from schools within the consortium (WashU, University of Chicago, Lawrence University, and Beloit, Carthage, Colorado, Grinnell, Gustavus Adolphus, Hope, Knox, Macalester and St. Olaf colleges). Apart from the keynote and award lectures, which start off the symposium, all presenters will be undergraduate students.

WashU undergraduate researchers in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science, Earth and Planetary Sciences, and Computer Sciences are encouraged to submit.
